Turn Siri Apple sued in China


Just solving the trademark iPad, and are faced with a series of lawsuits involving copyright issues in China, the US technology giants accused of copyright infringement with Siri voice control features.

Perhaps this is extremely busy period for Apple's team of lawyers in China. Now Apple are two copyright infringement lawsuits to settle, it's lawsuit regarding trademarks Mac OS X "Snow Leopard" that the media have reported only a few days ago and now Assistant application Siri voice.

Accordingly, on 26 June, the Zhizhen Network Technology, the developer of voice recognition technology in Shanghai (China) has filed a lawsuit accusing Apple's Siri in violation of one of the patents that the company currently owns. The patent number is 200410053749.9 location "ZL, involving" a form of conversation by sending instant messaging-based system "called Xiaoi Bot. Patent Xiao Bot registered on 13 August 2004 and was licensed for possession on 15/2/2006. Current Xiaoi Bot has been integrated into the Microsoft MSN, Yahoo! Messenger, and much of the Shanghai Expo Haibao Dr services.

In his lawsuit, the company does not intend to dispute Zhizhen brand Siri but introduction that Apple used on the official website of Apple in China explaining the feature element violates the Zhizhen Siri were content that they registered for technology Xiao Bot. In particular, Apple was advertising on Siri that "Siri can understand what you say and the things you're asking and searching for answers on the web". Siri Assistant voice application by Apple was officially introduced at the China market on 13/1/2012. The US technology giant has announced iOS 4 earlier this June at WWDC with more Chinese support for Siri. On the other hand, the site of Xiaoi showed the same voice Assistant application Siri of Xiaoi was released in February. In addition, the service also unveiled Xiaoi Assistant their voice with Smart TV Android 4.0 of Lenovo in month.
